Brought to you by Al Adaskin

In 1991, I retired from a career as a Facility Administrator with Eastman Kodak Co. I started carving birds and have studied with world class carvers throughout the U.S. and Canada. These world class carvers include, Rex McHail, Fred Heier, Jan Fitch, Mark McNair, Gordon Hare, and Bob Guge.

My sculptures have won many awards in competitions including the following: the Genesee Valley Wood Carvers Annual Show and Competition, Rochester, New York; the Decoy and Wildlife Art Show, Clayton, New York; the South West Florida Woodcarving Exposition, Ft. Myers, Florida, The 2000 Erie County Fair in Hamburg New York, and the Ward World Championship, Ocean City, Maryland.

Presently I teach beginning carving classes in the Community Education Program in Greece New York, and also conduct a Winter workshop in my own home studio. Winter workshops are planned and conducted for the more advanced carver. In addition private lessons are offered.

Commisions are accepted. Please e-mail me for more information.
